About us
The Accessible Legion Fund grew from a simple belief: the veterans who served our country should never be shut out of the halls built to honor them.
Our story
For more than a decade, we have supported accessibility initiatives and the people who depend on them. That work has been grounded in Ohio and strengthened by proven partnerships with local nonprofits, the kind of relationships that turn a good intention into a finished ramp, a working elevator, or a restroom someone can finally use.
American Legion posts and VFW halls give veterans fellowship, advocacy, ceremony, and a place to keep serving. When a building cannot accommodate a wheelchair or a walker, it quietly asks the very people it honors to stay away. We exist to change that, one barrier at a time, and to carry that mission beyond Ohio to posts and halls across the country.
No eligible veteran should be prevented from participating because a building cannot accommodate their mobility needs.

Nonprofit and transparency
The Accessible Legion Fund is a mission driven nonprofit focused on accessibility for the halls that serve veterans. We work alongside local nonprofit partners so that gifts are put to work carefully and projects are seen through to completion.
Our formal nonprofit status language and financial transparency details are being confirmed and will be published here. If you need current information for a gift or a grant, please contact us.
Partnerships
Our results come from working with the community organizations closest to each building. Those partnerships help our funding reach further and help every project finish well.
Partner with usPosts, halls, and local nonprofits that share this mission are welcome to reach out. We will publish partner details here as collaborations are confirmed.
